Louis Vuitton Monogram Vernis Flocon Coin Purse

In the spirit of the holiday season, Louis Vuitton has released a beautiful line of coin purses in a delicate snowflake shape embossed with small snowflake patterns with LV monogram and flowers. These charming coin purses comes in two snowflake designs, its a great accessory for the holidays and also makes a great seasonal gift.

Each of the Flocon Coin Purses comes with a silvery brass chain that has two charms (snowflake with Swarovski strass and LV monogram) and hook for attaching to a D-ring. It measures 4.3″ x 3.7″ x 0.8″, large enough to carry coins and business or credit cards.

New Vernis Colors for Spring 2010

For Spring 2010, Louis Vuitton will be releasing three new Vernis colors which were inspired by art movements through the ages: Rose Florentin, Vert Impression, and Gris Art Deco. These new colors are softer in comparison to the loud, pop colors of Spring 2009 and will be seen in bags, wallets and small leather goods, and shoes starting January 1, 2010.

Inspired by the Renaissance, a cultural movement that started in Florence, the Rose Florentin is a lovely shade of pale pastel pink which exudes softness and femininity. Its great for pink lovers and those who find Rose Pop a bit too shocking. Available from January to November 2010.

If Vert Tonic was on steroids, Vert Impression is its sober counterpart. This calm greenish yellow color took its name from Impressionism, an art movement that seeks to capture a feeling rather than accurate depiction. Available from January to May 2010.

This steely tranquil gray color inspired by Art Deco of the 1920s exhibits an elegant and glamorous appeal perfect for the evening. This color beautifully compliments the golden brass hardware of the pieces. Really chic! Available from January to November 2010.

Louis Vuitton Animania Collection

Before I tell you about this adorable collection, here’s a bit of a backstory: The Vuitton family made wooden animal toys which were then collected by Gaston Louis Vuitton’s wife, Renée. This wooden toy collection was created more than 60 years ago and the examples were found in the Maison’s archives. For the Opening of the Louis Vuitton Avenue Marceau store in 1954 for Maison Louis Vuitton’s 100th anniversary, Gaston-Louis Vuitton dedicated the first floor of the store to his wife Renée, who turned it into a “Salon de jouets” (toy store) which then closed in 1970.

Taking inspiration from the wooden animal toys mentioned above, the Animania collection is a playful pack of Monogram-clad animals and cute details. So, first off… the Animania Coin Purses. These pieces features the animal patchwork made from Monogram canvas, patent leather, and karung snakeskin. Animals in the coin purses include: Ecureil (Squirrel) in Amarante, Coq (Rooster) in Gris Art Deco, Oiseau (Songbird) in Rose Florentin, and Lapin (Bunny) in Pomme d’Amour available at Louis Vuitton for US$500.

Also there are 2 clutches whose shapes are in the form of the Oiseau (Songbird) in Bleu Nuit and Coq (Rooster) in Amarante available at Louis Vuitton for US$340. In addition to small leather goods, the Animania collection also consists of a scarf called Animania Square made in 100% silk and comes in colors Violet, Red and Coral. Louis Vuitton Men's Spring/Summer 2010 Runway Shoes

I just love the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 Menswear Collection by Paul Helbers. I adore the clothes, the sunglasses, and of especially the shoes. The collection was dubbed as energetic and fashionably functional. WWD says, “Calling their men “gentleman butterflies of the urban landscapes,” the designers employed wing patterns to create fluttering silk jacquard trenches and racing bombers.” The butterfly reference was also carried out into the design of some of the shoes which features sinuously elaborate stitched cutouts similar to that of a butterfly’s delicate wings.
